Bahlil yang sekaligus Menteri Energi dan Sumber Daya Mineral (ESDM) merupakan satu-satunya kader yang lolos verifikasi dan syarat menjadi Ketua Umum Partai Golkar.
Bahlil terpilih secara aklamasi menjadi Ketua Umum Partai Golkar setelah mendapatkan dukungan dari seluruh pemegang hak suara yang menghadiri Munas XI Partai Golkar.
Tidak hanya itu, Bahlil juga turut ditetapkan sebagai Formatur Tunggal untuk menentukan komposisi kepengurusan Dewan Pimpinan Pusat (DPP) Partai Golkar periode 2024-2029. Pemberian jabatan itu karena beliau mendapat dukungan dari 50 persen plus 1 pemegang hak suara.
Perlu diketahui, jumlah pemilik hak suara, yakni Dewan Pimpinan Daerah (DPD) I di 38 Provinsi, DPD II di 508 Kabupaten/Kota, Ormas Hasta Karya (Pendiri), Ormas yang didirikan, dan organisasi sayap partai.
