LENSALANDAK.COM I NGABANG – Ribuan masyarakat Kecamatan Jelimpo memeriahkan Hari Ulang Tahun (HUT) ke-24 Kabupaten Landak dengan kegiatan senam, jalan santai, donor darah dan lomba kreasi barang bekas di Kantor Camat Jelimpo, Senin (9/10) lalu.
Dalam kesempatan tersebut Staf Ahli Bupati Landak Ocin menceritakan perjuangan panjang berdirinya Kabupaten Landak ini cukup lama hingga akhirnya lahirlah Kabupaten Landak yang disahkan dalam UUD No. 5 Tahun 1999.
“Ketika lahirnya Kabupaten Landak, terdapat tujuh kecamatan yang dibentuk, yakni Ngabang, Serimbu, Menyuke, Sengah Temila, Mandor, Mempawah Hulu, dan Menjalin. Kemudian dibentuk lagi 3 kecamatan baru, yakni Sebangki, Meranti, dan Kuala Behe. Dan yang terakhir dibentuk lagi 3 kecamatan, yaitu Jelimpo, Sompak, dan Banyuke Hulu,” tutur Ocin di Jelimpo.
Ocin mengatakan lahirnya kecamatan Jelimpo tidak mungkin terjadi jika tidak lahirnya Kabupaten Landak. Oleh karena itu sebagai ucapan syukur atas lahirnya Kecamatan Jelimpo ini diadakanlah berbagai macam kegiatan.
“Pemerintah Kabupaten Landak mengapresiasi kegiatan yang dilaksanakan di Kecamatan Jelimpo ini, yaitu senam, jalan santai, donor darah, dan lomba kreasi pemanfaatan barang bekas,” ujarnya.
“Tentu jalan santai ini mengingatkan kita betapa pentingnya olahraga untuk menjaga kebugaran tubuh, sehingga kita dapat tetap hidup sehat dan maka angka harapan hidup juga akan lebih baik dan juga akan meningkatkan IPN,” sambung Ocin.
Kegiatan donor darah merupakan kegiatan yang sangat baik, sambung Ocin, karena kegiatan tersebut merupakan kegiatan kemanusiaan dan agar kita mengerti betapa pentingnya darah itu bagi mereka yang membutuhkannya.
“Kami berharap kepada bapak/ibu agar dapat secara sukarela mendonorkan darahnya sehingga keinginan kita bersama untuk hidup sehat dapat tercapai dan kita juga dapat membantu sesama,” harap Ocin.
Ocin juga menyampaikan bahwa Pemkab Landak saat ini menargetkan 30 desa ODF (Open Defaction Free) atau Stop Buang Air Besar Sembarangan.
“Kami sudah menyusun Perda tentang ini, dan diharapkan kepada desa-desa agar dapat menyusun Perdes agar nantinya terutama bagi rumah yang baru dibangun untuk wajib memiliki toilet,” sebutnya.
Dia berharap, Pemerintah Desa memprogramkan agar setiap desanya bisa ODF 100 persen. “Karena selama ini baru 3 desa yang ODF dan salah satunya di Kecamatan Jelimpo ini, yaitu Desa Mandor Kiru,” tutup Ocin. (*)
