LENSALANDAK.COM I Landak – Pj Bupati Landak Dr Gutmen Nainggolan membuka Kegiatan sosialisasi pencegahan dan penanganan kekerasan di sekolah jenjang SMP di Aula Dinas Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan Kabupaten Landak pada Selasa 10 September 2024.
Saat membuka kegiatan Pj Bupati Landak Gutmen Nainggolan menyampaikan bahwa satuan pendidikan merupakan tempat kedua bagi anak-anak dalam menghabiskan waktunya sehari-hari.
Oleh karena itu satuan pendidikan harus menjadi tempat yang aman dan nyaman bagi anak-anak untuk belajar.
“Intoleransi, kekerasan seksual dan perundungan merupakan hal yang perlu dicegah dan dihapuskan dari satuan pendidikan,” ujarnya.
Gutmen menjelaskan Indonesia menjadi salah satu negara dengan kasus kekerasan pada anak yang tinggi.
Komisi Perlindungan Anak Indonesia (KPAI) mengungkap, sekitar 3.800 kasus perundungan di Indonesia sepanjang 2023. hampir separuh, terjadi di lembaga pendidikan termasuk pondok pesantren.
“Oleh karena itu untuk mencegah permasalahan tersebut semua stakeholder harus terlibat. selain orangtua dan keluarga, satuan pendidikan memiliki peranan penting dalam melindungi, mencegah dan menyelamatkan anak dari tindakkan kekerasan. Sekolah harus memiliki regulasi terkait pencegahan dan penanganan kekerasan,” jelasnya.
Salah satu upaya yang dilakukan oleh pemerintah melalui kementerian pendidikan, kebudayaan, riset dan teknologi, lanjut Gutmen yaitu pembentukan Tim Pencegahan dan Penanganan Kekerasan (TPPK) baik di dinas pendidikan provinsi, dinas pendidikan kabupaten kota maupun satuan pendidikan.
“Harapnya semoga di Kabupaten Landak tidak ada kasus kekerasan yang terjadi di sekolah, saya juga ingatkan kepada Kepala Sekolah untuk mengawasi secara langsung jangan hanya menunggu laporan dari guru dan orangtua siswa,” tegasnya.
